01 | A Lightwell Welcome

Slide your duffel in the under-bed storage, and get cozy. Crack open a beer from Basecamp, and relive the moments when the wind and water got everything right. Tiny Lightwell Queens are ideal for solo recharging; Tiny Gorge Alley Kings, for face planting after waterfall chasing, and steam-filled showers to wash off the day’s adventures. Upstairs and down, drink, dine, and if you must, the lobby living room has ample space to send emails.

03 | Be Well: Spa at Lightwell

There’s something satisfying about layering a waffle robe over a bathing suit, hitting the elevator button, and arriving to a dramatically different, subterranean spa. Follow the art-adorned walls to Spa at Lightwell, where relaxation is the only to-do. Stay well with a sauna session, soak in the oversized hot tub, or reserve a massage tailored to your needs. 04 | Play Well: Adventure Lounge

It wouldn’t be a trip to Hood River without an adventure, and the on-site Adventure Lounge at Lightwell Hotel is just the place to plot your course. Powered by First Nature, the Adventure Lounge is where guided tours depart, where gearing up and getting out comes easily. Located beside Basecamp, grab Proud Mary coffee strong enough to wake up your legs before venturing out on a guided tour or flying solo.

05 | Eat Well: Rooftop Now Open

Set above downtown Hood River, the Rooftop at Lightwell is part après, part just getting the night started. Fresh air, panoramic Gorge views, and a fire pit that lights up at sunset. Wind down after a wind-whipped day, or arrive at golden hour and see where the night takes you. Still to come: Alia Mediterranean, adjacent to the Lobby Bar, opening later this summer.

06 | The Great Outdoors

Just outside, if it’s not waterfalls you're chasing and wine you’re tasting, then it’s well-worn bike trails, wild days on the water, and craft ciders made right here. The 38-mile fruit loop is not to be missed during its extended summer season, and adventures abound from picturesque Mosier to the Historic Columbia Gorge Highway, dotted with accessible waterfalls that stun and amaze even the most seasoned adventure seekers. Come for the adventures, return to Lightwell for a bite to eat and a great night’s sleep, before doing it all again.

07 | Hood River’s Living Room

Step into the lobby at Lightwell, and feel instantly at home in what’s become known as Hood River’s living room. Every Wednesday, the hotel’s house band, aptly named The Lobbyists, takes the stage at the Lobby Bar, and on Saturdays, local jazz pianist Darryl Frank tickles the keys on the historic grand piano. Guests and locals are invited to grab a beer or glass of wine, mix, and mingle.
