Thursday night things are going to get a little raw around here. RAW is an arts organization that spotlights individuals they think are rockin’ in visual art, film, fashion, music, hair/makeup artistry, photography, models and performing art. Their stated mission is to provide these diamonds in the rough with resources and exposure so that they can be “Seen, heard and loved.”

RAW events are multi-faceted artistic showcases. Each event features a film screening, musical performance, fashion show, art gallery, performance art and a featured hairstylist and makeup artist. I’ve never been to anything quite like this, so I’m putting on my stilettos and heading to the Bossanova Thursday night to investigate. In the fashion arena, they’ve pulled local accessory designers Annie Angell and Ttereve with the event hosted by TV personality Jeremiah Stroup. It’ll be interesting to see how this many artists co-exist in one space. Performance art wrestling anyone?
