Fuertes designa and creates the shoes and bags, while Kranick creates the boho looks to go along with them. The combo is a rare entire head to toe look being produced in Portland.

A runway show for accessories is never easy, but SeaEcho designer Sarah Vale Rapp pulled it off and then some with stylish new versions of her Get-them-in-my-hands-this-second woolen bags.

Lee's feminine and youthful collection felt right at home with the young crowd looking for pretty things.

A dark geometric collection from two up and coming designers. The strong Alexander Wang vibe, with leather insets and layered pieces means I'll be keeping a keen eye to see what this dynamic duo does next.

Rachel Rector

Rector's first collection of delicate sheer lingerie bodysuits makes for either a (scandalous) statement piece of its own, or a gorgeous base to build a layered look from.

Designer LeAna Leo showed her spot on collection of swimwear specifically designer for the music festival goer. Hold it up to your ear and you can hear Cochella.

Sim's sparkly little cocktail dress picked up the crowd just when the show stretched on and we all needed a touch of glitter in our lives.

Prischenko, one of two new Ai grads to show here, masterfully balanced texture and style with her chunky materials shaped into flattering silhouettes and crowd pleasing colors. This look was my favorite of the show.

Lorena Cabrera

The other Ai grad (and my other favorite collection), Cabrera strong aesthetic managed to still feel feminine while entirely embracing a bold geometric aesthetic.

Avant Garde Collection

Portland Fashion Week returned with a lengthy show consisting of dozens of designers from both their new Emerging Designer competition, a retrospective of past Art Institute collections, and new looks from Ai grads.
