Fieldwork Design's New Suburban Showpiece

Screened-in areas around the front of Bluff House, a new Fieldwork Design project in Clark County, Washington, introduce intrigue and warmth.

A protected, courtyard-like internal outdoor space riffs on traditional farm compound design.

Design themes and materials unite interiors and exteriors: dark walnut, matte-finished metals and hardware, white quartz.

The white marble used for the kitchen backsplash likewise recurs in the master bedroom suite.

Fieldwork custom-designed and fabricated much of Bluff House's furniture, as well as its flatware and hardware.

The guest bedroom combines many of the overall design motifs, like the use of dark walnut, with new materials like saddle leather.

"We focused on integrating everything you come into contact with in the house, in terms of materials and design," says Fieldwork interior designer Tonia Hein.
