SkiFever
Problem: You’ve just taken stock of your ski and board quiver, and, well, to put it mildly, your sticks are out of ammo. Solution: A three-day blizzard of ski industry dealers, vendors, and resort reps otherwise known as the SkiFever & Snowboard Show. Local heavies on hand include, US Outdoor Store, Hillcrest, Gorge Performance, Sublimity, and Exit Real World, each more happy than the next to gush about the merits of this year’s fusion of rocker and camber ski design. And of course they’ll have just the gloves and helmet to match your new ride, too. Show up with a coat for Heroes for the Homeless or register on the SkiFever website and you’ll scrape two bucks off the $12 admission price. Which is great, because even on sale that Burton Flying V that you’re drooling over is still capable of putting quite a dent in your wallet.

Pass Play
It’s officially time to get off the fence. This is your last weekend to get your hands on one of the mountain’s choice unlimited ski passes before prices rocket into the stratosphere. Through Sunday an unlimited adult pass at Meadows costs $449. After that it’ll run you $900—ouch. Likewise, a Fusion Pass for Timberline and Skibowl, costs just $449 right now. But on Monday, that same pass will set you back $599. Hey, at least it’s daylight saving time this weekend, which means you’ve got an extra hour to make up your mind about where to shred this year.
