Sharp, Chic Jack Spade Arrives in Portland

The high-end clothing and luggage company officially landed in the Pearl District last week.

Normally we leave Portland’s shopping eye-candy to our Shop Talk cousin.

But we couldn’t resist crowing about the arrival of luxury bag, accessory, and outerwear brand Jack Spade in Portland. The 15-year-old company—founded by Andy Spade, husband of style icon and designer Kate Spade—debuted its new Pearl District store last week, and we’ve been lusting over its collection of durable, functional, and sleek travel bags ever since.

The shop, at 304 NW 11th St., is only the brand’s seventh U.S. location and its first in the the Northwest. Bright, airy, and decked out in hardwoods and random bits of Americana, Jack Spade feels almost as much a gallery as a store, with the brand’s waxed cotton, canvas, and leather bags and totes starring as the central exhibits.
