PDX Gets Two New Flights

Alaska Airlines debuted nonstop service to D.C.’s Reagan National Airport Tuesday. While United Airlines offers nonstop service to Dulles, this is Portland’s first direct flight to Reagan Airport.

Spirit Airlines will add a daily direct flight to San Diego beginning November 8. The San Diego-bound flight departs Portland at 6:15 a.m. while the return from San Diego departs at 8:48 p.m.

 Kimpton Buys RiverPlace Hotel

Kimpton recently added the RiverPlace Hotel to its Portland hotel holdings (which includes Hotel Vintage Plaza and Monaco). The Willamette-snuggling RiverPlace will likely get a renovation in the next year or so, but in the meantime, Kimpton has added a bit more flair, in the form of throw pillows and new art.
