Construction Map Helps Summer Travel Planning

Oregon's new summer construction map alerts travelers to roadwork closures and delays.

Nothing is worse than being stuck at a standstill in the middle of a traffic jam with no end in sight. You know the situation is especially dire when people begin abandoning their cars to play Frisbee or visit with friends in another vehicle.

To help you avoid this road trip-ruining dilemma, the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has released a summer construction map that features all roadwork projects in process statewide.

The map will provide information for each specific project as well as an estimated wait time. It's available to the public at all ODOT offices, DMV locations, truck stops and many other travel information centers as well as online.

Summer travellers can also use tripcheck.com or call 511 (in state only) to get updates on traffic conditions.
