Whistle-stop Speeches on the Big Screen.

By Nicole Vogel January 19, 2009

We walk out of the Newseum, a bit numb, and are greeted by cheers. All four inner balconies of the Newseum are full of individuals watching the President-elect on the two-story jumbotron as he gives his speech from Baltimore, on his whistle-stop tour—which will end in DC this evening. Our experience of the last hour has reminded us of the magnitude of his undertaking. The smiles and excitement on everyone’s faces serve to lift our spirits and get us back in the spirit of the celebration.
