In the city magazine business, there’s no higher honor than the gold medal awarded by the City & Regional Magazine Association.

We’re thrilled to be finalists in six categories this year: General Excellence (circulation 30,000 to 60,000); Reporting, for The $150,000 Question by Ted Katauskas, who’ll be competing against two stories from Texas Monthly, one from 5280, and one from Chicago magazine; Leisure and Lifestyle Interests, for The Art of Eating Cheaply, edited by Camas Davis; Photo Essay, for Recovery Mission, by Jim Lommasson; Reader Service, for Buy Here Now, edited by Kasey Cordell; and Special Issue, for "Welcome to Green City, USA," last October’s green issue, by the Portland Monthly staff.

And our fabulous sister magazine, Seattle Metropolitan, is a finalist as well, in General Excellence and Reader Service.

The winners will be announced in late May in New Orleans.
