After being subjected to the jugband metal of Doublewide and the butt-rock of Western Aerial mutiple times a week on the local broadcast, the Portland Trailblazers finally seem to have come to the realization that when it comes to crafting a cool Blazers theme song, they can do SO much better.

Rumor has it that the Portland Cello Project might be delivering the arena-rocking goods this season. The group has already filmed a try-out video and seems to be shoe-in for the gig…which would also include playing live for at least one home game.

Here’s wishing them luck because, frankly, if I hear Doublewide again I might take hostages.
Naturally, they should use the immortal "Seven Years to Glory" as their guide…
