MAR 30 This Friday, the Schnitz will resonate with the tuneful “boom” of the tabla, the fitful “bap” of the dholak, and the bright “clang” of the doyra as Zakir Hussain’s drum group performs a dramatically varied program with a simple set of tools—and most fundamentally, human breath—to great effect.
