Attention actors waiting to be discovered: Bust out your most glamorous headshot and raid your pantry for those year-old cans of chili because today only, from now to 6pm, Cast Iron Studios is holding its second annual “Meals for Monologues.” Three nonperishable items for the Oregon Food Bank will score you two whole minutes to act out your best monologue in front of a casting director. After showing off your acting chops, you're welcome to grab a plate at the Holiday Meet-n-Greet potluck.
Last year's Meals for Monologues raised 831 pounds of food, and the studio is hoping to beat those numbers this year. So if you’ve ever fantasized about appearing in an episode of Leverage, Portlandia, or Grimm then bring a headshot, resume, prepared monologue, and three food items to Cast Iron Studios, 1430 SE Third Ave, Suite 100. And be quick about it!
