Win Tickets to the Inspire New Year's Party at the Art Museum

We’re no strangers to “parties” in the art museum. There’s the annual Shine a Light live music, performance, and drink fest; there’s the occasional toe-tapping fundraiser; there was even the Bacchanal Ballroom happy hours, with DJ, dance floor, and go-go-Greeks in the Kridel Grand Ballroom.
But we’ve never seen something like this at the museum. This "party" doesn’t need quotes. It needs ALL CAPS.
Sonic bandits are taking over the museum’s Mark Building to bring art to vibrant, booty-thumping life. Stretching until 4:30 in the morning, the lineup includes high-energy party fuelers Marchfourth Marching Band; live electronic performances by bass-hungry pioneers and international masters like Vibesquad, Ott, and Phutureprimitive; and sets by more DJs than you can shake a mass-produced Warhol print at (including DJ Dragonfly, who a friend knowledgeable in these things swears is the best SF DJ who never leaves SF). All that spread over three dance floors, where the magic of light and visual installations promise to transform the museum into the most stunning soiree setting since Versailles (if the fireworks of the Mayan calendar ending don’t get us all first).
This contest is now closed.
Tickets are $55 in advance, $70 at the door, and $125 for the “Inspired Experience.” For more info, visit the event website or checkout its Facebook page, where almost 1,200 revelers have RSVPed.
