Bruce Springsteen is Portland-bound. But don’t expect the Boss to rock out by the rare books: this event entitles ticket-holders to a pre-signed copy of Springsteen's new book, Born to Run, and an intro to the man himself.

The event has limited capacity, with tickets going for $32.50, which includes a pre-signed book you’ll get on the day. All kicks off at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, with tickets on sale from noon Friday, September 16. That’s this Wednesday, folks. Get on it.

Born to Run, published by Simon and Schuster on September 27, chronicles Springsteen’s youth in Freehold, New Jersey, his early days as a bar band king in Asbury Park, and the rise of the E Street Band.

According to the publisher: “This is a book for workers and dreamers, parents and children, lovers and loners, artists, freaks, or anyone who has ever wanted to be baptized in the holy river of rock and roll.”
