We’re entering the heart of pickling season, so get ready to restock that larder! The Portland Fermentation Festival is back in a big way for its third year of kraut, miso, pickles, and more.
Thursday, October 20th from 6 to 8 pm at EcoTrust in the Pearl District, Portland’s fermentation fanatics—from the professional to the avid amateur—will be sharing their recipes, secrets, and freshly fermented favorites with the public.
Entry is just $5 and the evening will feature fermented fun for the whole family, with free tastings of live and fermented foods and drinks. It’s the perfect opportunity to gather tips and tricks, whether you’re a novice or a pickle pro. Last year’s event brought out more than 500 fans of fermented foods, and this year is expected to be even bigger.
