On September 23, wood-oven star Mark Doxtader will reopen Tastebud to the public at its SE Milwaukie Avenue location. This summer, the popular farmer’s market vendor took a break to rethink life in his wood-fired brick and mortar. The conclusion? He’s ready for more.

Doxtader promises the same fluffy, lightly-scorched pizza with piles of local seasonal ingredients. The biggest change: the Wednesday-night bird menu, an Eat Beat favorite, has come to an end. But don’t panic: the gorgeous roasted birds will be a regular fixture on the menu.
