Once North, Now Everywhere
Looking for a local alternative to tasteless diet meals? Garden State’s Kevin Sandri’s follow-up gig to his shuttered food cart (RIP) has just been announced on Eater PDX: the chef will be the top culinary dog for Farm to Fit, a start-up "diet meal service that is calorie based/portion controlled, always fresh and as local as possible." Grüner’s Christopher Israel is also tacked on to the project as a consultant, and the extensive menu is slated to include favorite dishes from Garden State. The program will launch on November 1; more details at the Farm to Fit website. (Eater PDX)
’Burbs
Former Carafe Bistro chef Pascal Sauton’s Milwaukie Kitchen & Wine is set to open this week on Main Street in the suburb just south of Portland’s east side. (The Oregonian has the full details.)
