Wine Social Wednesday with Teutonic Wines at June
What: June’s next Wine Social Wednesday hosted by sommelier Leah Moorhead will feature Olga and Barnaby Tuttle of Teutonic Wines. The wine social series aims to offer a more social approach to the traditional wine-paired dinner, offering a small, casual, fun, and informative mix-and-mingle happy hour for wine lovers and novices alike, featuring light bites by Chef Greg Perrault.
When: Wednesday, July 11th from 5 to 6:30 pm.
Where: June Restaurant, 2215 East Burnside

Best Sandwich In America Viewing Party at The Slammer
What: The Slammer is hosting a viewing party for Bunk Sandwiches and their debut on Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich In America (the episode also features Portland’s Big-Ass Sandwiches and their roast beef sammy). Bunk will be providing samples of their Pork Belly Cubano for all that come out to the viewing.
When: Wednesday, July 11th at 9 pm
Where: The Slammer Tavern 500 Southeast 8th Avenue
How Much: Free screening and sandwich samples.
Widmer’s Explore Your Craft at EcoTrust
What: An evening of food, drink, music, art, and onsite brewing demonstrations hosted by Widmer Brothers Brewing. Meet Kurt and Rob Widmer, watch Widmer Brothers Brewers demonstrate home brewing throughout the event, pitch in to create a large-scale mural, drink plenty of signature beers, nosh on treats from Olympic Provisions and Cheese Bar, and much more.
When: Friday, July 13th from 7 to 10 pm
Where: The EcoTrust Terrace at 721 NW 9th Ave

Cork + Cocotte + Cru Beaujolais Bastille Day Bash
What: Celebrate the storming of the Bastille that liberated France on July 14, 1789 during this delicious event hosted by local French bistro Cocotte, Cork Wine Bar, and Beaujolais export ambassador Aurelien Fiardet of Terroirs Originels. The progressive tasting and dinner will begin at Cork with a flight of 3 wines from Lucien Lardy, then guests will walk down the street en masse and take a seat at Cocotte for a special 4-course meal with a seafood focus—paired with Cru Beaujolais from 4 different villages.
When: Saturday, July 14th. Tasting at Cork at 7 pm, dinner at Cocotte at 8 pm.
Where: Cork (2901 NE Alberta) and Cocotte (2930 Northeast Killingsworth)
How Much: $10 tasting at cork, $60 dinner at Cocotte including food and wine pairings. There are 28 seats for the dinner at Cocotte, and if you reserve for the dinner, the tasting at cork will be free. Reservations required, save your spot by emailing [email protected].
Bastille Day French Farmhouse Dinner
What: Celebrate French Independence, Proletariat Style! Join Side Yard Farm & Kitchen owner/chef Stacey Givens and sommelier Tom Champine for an evening of food and wine, all inspired by the French countryside. Dining al fresco at the Side Yard Farm in NE Portland with four courses including halibut with lemon verbena beurre blanc and crispy pork with rubystreak mustard greens and pickled cherries.

7th Annual Oregon Festival of Sauvignon Blanc
What: Join J. Christopher Cellars, Andrew Rich Vintners, and Patricia Green Cellars for a seasonal celebration of Sauvignon Blanc at the new J. Christopher winery. Enjoy a dazzling array of Oregon’s finest white wines served in an open air environment at the base of the Chehalem Mountains to the tunes of the Pete Krebs Trio.

What: Join 17 Willamette Valley wineries—including Anne Amie Vineyards, Archery Summit Winery, Bergstr?m Wines, Division Winemaking Company, Elk Cove Vineyards, J.K. Carriere Wines, Montinore Estate, Ponzi Vineyards, Sokol Blosser, Soter Vineyards, Stoller Vineyards and more—for an Oregon Rosé celebration featuring stunning vineyard views, the music of Big Band Calamity Jazz, and delicious bites from Portland’s Crown Paella at this uniquely pink event.

Din Din Supper Club Champagne Dinner with David Speer
What: Ambonnay’s David Speer joins forces with Din Din Supper Club’s Courtney Sproule for a fun, eclectic, and delicious four-course Champagne dinner. Speer and Sproule aim to demonstrate that Champagne can hold up to a lot more than oysters, so expect the unexpected when it comes to pairings.
When: Friday, July 20th at 7 pm
