Burnside Brewing Burgers and Beer Pairing Dinner

What: Burnside Brewing Co. will celebrate their 2012 Great American Beer Fest Gold Medal win at Foster Burger with a five course dinner complete with beer pairings. Courses will include Lime Kolsch with arugula salad and beet slaw, Gratzer with a smoked Gouda, sharp cheddar, and bacon grilled cheese, IPA with house-ground wild boar and Bourbon-soaked onions, Bourbon Barrel Stout with soft pumpkin pretzels, and a Burnside Stout milkshake with salted caramel. 
When: Thursday, October 18th at 7pm.

Wetlands and Wellies

What: 2012 marks the first year that The Wetlands Conservancy will hold its annual fundraiser in Portland proper, with an urban dining experience in Northeast Portland. The event will include seasonal small plates from Riffle NW, Jamison, St Jack, Gracie's and more, drinks from Chehalem wines, Lenne Wines, and Rogue Spirits, live music, silent auction, and a "Wellies" fashion contest in support of Oregon's wetlands.

Dukes Family Vineyard Wine Dinner at ¡Oba!

What: An intimate wine pairing dinner with modern latino cuisine. Pat & Jackie Dukes will be available for questions and stories from the vineyard, and dishes are set to include King Salmon tartare with pickled sea beans, 5-spice pork belly confit, smoked duck breast with white bean and squash cassoulet, coffee-rubbed lamb sirloin, and cranberry cream cheese empanadas.

Portland Lamb Jam

What: The American Lamb Board is bringing together top local chefs for the inaugural Portland American Lamb Jam, hosted by chef Adam Sappington of The Country Cat. Dozens of PDX culinary pros will showcase different cuts of lamb in a variety of dishes, competing to win the local title of Lamb Master and the chance to advance to the national Lamb Jam competition next fall. Attendees will be able to try all lamb dishes in addition to Oregon wine, spirits, and coffee.
When: Sunday, October 21st from 2 to 5 pm

ForkLift Salt Dinner at the Cleaners

What: An evening of great food and drink from Jacobsen Salt Co., Love & Squalor Wines, and Chef Chris DiMinno of Clyde Common. The event will feature a salt infusion workshop, cocktails, and a four course dinner with wine pairings. 
When: Tuesday, October 23rd at 6pm.
Where: The Cleaners at Ace Hotel 403 SW 10th Ave

Orange Wine Dinner at Genoa

What: Sommelier Michael Garofola of Genoa is leading the charge of the orange wine revolution in PDX with his upcoming wine dinner that's set to highlight five prime bottles along with Chef David Anderson’s modern take on Italian cuisine. Full details here.

MasterChef Auditions in Portland

What: FOX's MasterChef will be holding an open casting call in Portland in November! The high-pressure cooking show, judged by chef Gordon Ramsay, restaurateur Joe Bastianich, and chef Graham Elliot, features amateur cooks in a variety of challenges.
