Indulge in dessert for dinner with pastry chef Kristen Murray this Thursday.

Dessert for Dinner with Kristen Murray

What: A celebration of all things sweet with star Portland pastry chef Kristen Murray. The four-course meal will feature new spins on fruit, creams, nuts, and chocolates with drink pairings (kicking off with savory canapes and a bit of bubbly). 
When: Thursday, November 29th at 7 pm
Where: The Chef Studio at 2818 Southeast Pine St
How Much: $64 per person, including four-course tasting menu and drink pairings. Tickets available here.  

PICA's Mushroom Fair

What: PICA's celebration of the stories and flavors of the funnest fungi around with local foragers, cultivators, and mushroom experts. The free "Mush Fair" offers mushroom art, wild and cultivated mushrooms for tasting and purchase, Salt & Straw's candy cap mushroom ice cream, mushroom growing kits, and an animated and interactive zoetrope sculpture exploring of the life cycle of a mushroom. St Johns WinterFest

What: The third-annual winter celebration and market, featuring seventeen vendors from the St Johns Farmers Market offering food-centric gifts for the holidays, the St Johns Christmas Tree Lighting, a visit from Santa Claus, a "marshmallow pit" for kids, live music, and special menus at neighboring restaurants and bars. 
When: Sunday, December 2nd from 1 to 5 pm
Where: The intersection of N Lombard and N Philadelphia
How Much: Free 

Metrovino’s 1980s Dinner with The Eyrie Vineyards

What: Metrovino will unearth rare wine gems from The Eyrie Vineyard’s 1980s vintages at this once-in-a-lifetime dinner featuring five courses of eighties-inspired dishes. The menu will be inspired by the great food thinkers of the decade, such as Daniel Boulud, Hubert Keller, and Jeremiah Tower. Among other delights, Eyrie’s 1983 Chardonnay will be highlighted by Marco Pierre White’s famous Oysters and Tagliatelle, with the modern twist of uni-butter and cucumber pearls.
When: Tuesday, December 4th at 6:30 pm

Holiday Market at the French American International School

What: Support the FAIS at this holiday bazaar featuring a "Parisian Cafe" where shoppers can indulge in crepes, pastries, wine, and cheese while browsing over 45 local venders (think handmade clothing and accessories  jewelry, ceramics, and more). A local wine expert will be on hand with discount bottles and holiday pairing suggestions.
When: Saturday, December 8th from 9 am to 4 pm

How Much: Free parking and free admission. 

 Rum Club's Sunday Supper at the Club

What: A five-course meal from chef Jon “Bones” Anderson (think oyster stew with leek and fennel fondue, smoked trout with salt-cured radicchio, and lamb navarin with root veggies), dessert by Clare Gordon, and paired cocktails from Bar Manager Adam Robinson.
When: Sunday, December 9th with seatings at 5 and 8 pm
Where: Rum Club at 720 Southeast Sandy Boulevard

Chef Christopher Israel's Alpine Christmas

What: The next Portland Food Adventure heads to the West End for a six-course Alpine Christmas celebration care of chef Christopher Israel, with cocktail and wine pairings. The night will kick off with cocktails and passed appetizers at Kask. Diners will also have the chance to chat with Israel about his Portland culinary haunts (including Cacao and Wafu) and will end the evening with gift certificates to try them all.

Feast of the Seven Fishes at Riffle NW

What: The Feast of the Seven Fishes is a Christmas Eve tradition in Sicily and throughout Southern Italy, when families prepare several dishes, each featuring a different fish or shellfish. This year, Riffle NW is bringing the family-style tradition to Portland a few weeks early, with dishes like white anchovy pizza, baccala, mussels in red sauce, stuffed clams, and stuffed baked Dungeness Crab. The night will begin with a cocktail reception and dinner will be paired with coastal wines reflective of the Sicilian region.
When: Monday, December 10th at 6 pm
Where: Riffle NW at 333 NW 13th Ave
How Much:
