Saison Greetings Daylight Savings Celebration with Bazi Bierbrasserie

What: Celebrate daylight savings springing forward with a farmhouse ale tap take-over, featuring domestic and import beers from Breakside, The Bruery, The Commons, pFriem, De Ranke, Hof Ten Dormaal, Mikkeller and the worldwide award winning Saison Dupont.
When: Sunday, March 10th from 4 to 9 pm

Sherry Dinner at Barwares

What: Rescheduled event! An evening combining fine sherries with chef Johanna Ware's Asian-inspired dishes. Guests will include representatives from Galaxy Wine and Peter Liem, co-author of Sherry, Manzanilla & Montilla, and dishes will include salmon tartare with umeboshi and smoked pork fat rice cakes, shrimp chawan-mushi with spicy butter and sherry cream, and braised short ribs with Chinese mustard spaetzle and smoked huckleberry jam.
When: Wednesday, March 13th at 6:30 pm
Where: Barwares 4605 NE Fremont St
How Much: $75 per person including five courses and sherry pairings. 

Metrovino’s 1980s Dinner with The Eyrie Vineyards

What: Rescheduled event! Metrovino will unearth rare wine gems from The Eyrie Vineyard’s 1980s vintages at this once-in-a-lifetime dinner featuring four courses of eighties-inspired dishes. The menu will be inspired by the great food thinkers of the decade, such as Daniel Boulud, Hubert Keller, and Marco Pierre White. Among other delights, Eyrie’s 1983 Chardonnay will be highlighted by Marco Pierre White’s famous Oysters and Tagliatelle, with the modern twist of uni-butter and cucumber pearls.
When: Wednesday, March 13th at 6:30 pm

St. Patrick’s Day at the Beaverton Farmers Market

What: A special edition of the Winter Market with a welcome speech from Beaverton Mayor Denny Doyle, live music from the Sir James McDonald Pipe Band, a performance by the Daire Academy of Irish Dance, special Paddy’s Day treats, and a Mr. Potato Head craft booth.
When: Saturday, March 16th from 10 am to 1:30 pm
Where: The Beaverton Farmers Market at SW Hall Blvd between 3rd and 5th Streets
How Much: Free! 

OBA! Champagne Dinner

What: Join chef Scott Newman of OBA! Restaurante in the Pearl District for a seafood and champagne dinner. Featured wines will include Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rose, Piper-Heidsieck Brut, Comte Audoin de Dampierre Brut Premier Cru Cuvee des Ambassadeurs, and Tattinger Prelude Grand Cru. Where: OBA! at 555 NW 12th Avenue
How Much: $75 including four courses and bubbly. Reservations are limited and can be made by calling 503-228-6161.

Dine Like a Caveman at Departure

What: A one-night-only Paleo dinner from chef Greg Gourdet that will take diners back to the Paleolithic Age (with utensils). For this five-course hunter-gatherer-style dinner, Gourdet has teamed up with Scott Laney of Eat Oregon First to source wild plants, fish and meat from Oregon’s land and waters. Dishes will include grilled butter clam and sweet potato chowder with crispy chicken skin, local wild duck with coconut creamed kale, and grass fed sirloin with basil and coriander.
When: Thursday, March 21st at 7 pm
Where: Departure 525 SW Morrison Street
How Much: $60 per person for five courses. 

Raptor Ridge Winemaker's Dinner with JoBar and Papa Haydn

What: An intimate gathering of food and wine lovers at Raptor Ridge winery featuring chefs TK, TK, and TK. Menu highlights include wild steelhead on a bed of pinot gris-braised leeks and steelhead bottarga hollandaise, dry-aged tenderloin with Tellicherry pepper buerre rouge, and a chocolate-powered dessert sampler.

Where: Raptor Ridge Winery at 18700 SW Hillsboro Hwy. in Newberg

Oregon Distillers Guild 3rd Annual TOAST Craft Spirits Festival

What: The largest craft spirits tasting in North America returns to Portland, with over 150 local and international spirits from over fifty distillers. This year's event will feature a Food Cart Court, spotlighting some of Portland's favorite mobile kitchens.
When: 
Friday, March 22nd from 5 to 10 pm and Saturday, March 23rd from 1 pm to 10 pm.
Where: 
The World Trade Center, sky bridge level, 121 SW Salmon St
How Much: 
$20 advance, $25 at the door. Advance tickets available here. Proceeds from TOAST support the Oregon Distillers Guild.
