On June 22, the best food cart pod around will be popping up—in Gresham.
The first annual Portland Summer Food Cart Festival will be crashing the SW Stark campus of Mt Hood Community College from 2 to 9 pm with twenty of Portland's best food carts, three thousand attendees, live music, kid's activities and a beer garden for thirsty revelers.
Go east, young man, and find food cart heaven.
The tasty lineup is set to include PDX cart stars like Koi Fusion, Cheese Plate PDX, Retrolicious, Stumptown Dumplings, Guafre Gourmet, Gonzo Falafel, The Honey Pot, PBJ's Grilled, Viking Soul Food, Taco Pedaler, Scoop PDX, Ole Latte Coffee, Hungry Heart Cupcakes, and many, many more.
Each cart is putting together a special festival menu featuring their signature dishes (most under $8) as well as a few one-off plates created exclusively for the event. Proceeds from the $5 entry fee will benefit ALSO, a Troutdale-based non-profit working to provide supported living, residential, and vocational services to adults with developmental challenges.
