Portland Negroni Week 2013

Nostrana and Imbibe Magazine team up to create a citywide celebration of the classic Italian cocktail.

By Eat Beat Team May 23, 2013

Stop—it's negroni time. The Portland food and drink scene's industry-only celebration of the quintessential Italian cocktail is back, but this year, everyone is invited.

The bar team at Nostrana and drink-centric Imbibe Magazine have enlisted the help of twenty Portland bars and restaurants to showcase dozens of variations on the negroni between May 27 and June 3. One dollar from each Negroni Week sale will be donated to Outside In, a local non-profit that works to improve health and self-sufficiency of homeless youth.

Here's the official line-up of participating shakers getting in on the action:

  • Irving Street Kitchen
  • Kask
  • Raven & Rose
  • Grüner
  • Dig A Pony
  • Smallwares/Barwares
  • Metrovino
  • Oven & Shaker
  • Bluehour
  • Ración
  • Aalto Lounge
  • Lardo
  • Riffle NW
  • Imperial
  • St. Jack
  • Laurelhurst Market
  • Clarklewis
  • Firehouse
  • Jamison
  • Davis Street Tavern

Fear not industry folk, chef Cathy Whims’ iconic invite-only, costume-clad Negroni Social bash is still on the schedule. Not in the food and drink bubble? Time to tip your bartenders very well—you might just score a +1 invitation.
