GET SCHOOLED

The Bent Brick's Cooking Classes

Slabtown's neighborhood eatery will show you how to shake up a classic Manhattan and pickle your garden this fall.

Starting September 11, chef Scott Dolich and the team at the newly-revitalized The Bent Brick will launch an intimate series of cooking classes in their cozy upstairs kitchen-meets-private dining room:

September 11, 6:30-8 pm, $35Sous Chef and resident pickle master Will (Zuzu) Marquardt will prove that pickling isn't just for the pros as he guides students through three different pickling techniques.

September 25, 6:30-8 pm, $45: Bar Manager Michelle Ruocco will offer Bar 101 with her “Classic Cocktails” class. Learn some skills for your next cocktail party as you shake your way through Martinis, Manhattans, Old Fashioneds, and Daiquiris.

Can't make one of these two nights? More classes are in the works for October. Space for each class is limited to a mere ten students for maximum learning—and bigger portions when the spoils are divided at the end of the night!
