Tickets are going fast for Feast Portland's official line-up, and many of the headlining events have been sold out for weeks. What's a procrastinating foodie to do? Fill the gaps in your weekend schedule with some promising unofficial Feast events bringing big names to our little city:
First up, New York City's legendary Shake Shake will be teaming up with SE Division's Stumptown Coffee and Roman Candle Baking to deliver three days of free frozen vanilla custard affogatos made with Stumptown's cold brew—no strings attached. The freebies will be doled out at Roman Candle Baking (3377 SE Division) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, September 20-22 from noon to 2:30 pm. Be warned: Shake Shack's legendary frozen custard will draw out the lines.

← Next, a love letter to a favorite chef ingredient, Red Boat Fish Sauce. Jenn Louis of Lincoln Restaurant, Paul Qui of Qui in Austin, and Nicole Krasinski and Stuart Brioza of State Bird Provisions in San Francisco will team up for a creative four-course take on the traditional Vietnamese Wedding Feast “Bò 7 Món,” or “Beef 7 Ways”. The saucy fun will go down on Friday, September 20 at 8:30 pm at Lincoln Restaurant (3808 N Williams Ave #127). Tickets: $100 per person, optional beverage pairing $30 more. Call 503-288-6200 for reservations.
Finally, Pacific Pie Co. is offering a restorative Pop-Up Aussie Hangover Brunch on Sunday, September 22, from 9 am to noon. Feast survivors will be served a series of classic Australian hangover remedies, including a dose of Berocca (an Emergen C-like drink) and a savory “pie floater” drifting in split pea soup. Guests will also enjoy a pass at the Eastside Distilling Bloody Mary Bar, unlimited mugs of Portland Roasting coffee, and a surprise dessert. Tickets are $25 per person, and proceeds will be donated to Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon. Reserve a spot at this recuperative brunch by calling Pacific Pie at 503-381-6157.
