Bar Avignon's "Raw Bar" Fundraiser for Bridge Meadows

What: A special Raw Bar menu will be available in addition to the regular menu this night, including Weathervane scallop sashimi, ahi tuna crudo, King salmon gravlax, and Oregon lamb carpaccio as well as wine pairings. 25% of proceeds go directly to Bridge Meadows, an organization dedicated to creating a unique community comprised of foster children and parents, and elders.

Calçotada with Foster’s Craft Cooking

What: Calçotada is a Catalonian spring feast where calçots (mild spring onions) are blackened, sweetened and eaten with your hands. Jaret Foster of Foster's Craft Cooking teams up with Viridian Farms, who specially grew these calçots from seeds they picked up on their travels to Spain. Menu also includes Pacific oysters, Basque almond cake, and a clam, chorizo and white bean stew.

9th Annual FredFest

What: Celebrate the Dean of American Beer Writers, Fred Eckhardt’s 88th birthday with rare and unique beers, as well as some of Eckhardt’s recommended food pairings: cheese, chocolate, even cereal. Money also goes toward several of Fred’s selected charities.

Fireside Benefit Brunch for Project Lemonade

What: Fireside hosts a benefit meal every first Sunday of the month, and this month it's all about brunch for Project Lemonade, which provides back-to-school clothing for foster children. Menu includes huckleberry griddle bread with lemon zest, spring hash, house pork sausage biscuit sandwiches, and smoked trout salad with endive and lemon cream, plus the "Thyme of Year" cocktail with gin, thyme liquor, fresh lemon, and Cocchi Americano.

Clyde Common’s Nikka Whisky Tasting Charity Dinner

What: Part of Portland’s Whiskey Week, Clyde Common’s chef John Leach will be serving a 4-course dinner with Nikka’s Japanese Whisky, cocktails, craft beer and music. All proceeds to benefit Oregon Active’s Adventure Therapy Program.

Paley’s Place vs Imperial Knife Fight Viewing Party

What: Watch Chef Patrick McKee of Paley’s Place battle Chef Ben Bettinger of Imperial, both trained by Chef Vitaly Paley, on the popular television show, Knife Fight. Imperial will be offering viewers free appetizers and two drink tickets each.

Bar Vivant Authentic Cider House Dinner
