Ancient Brewing and Winemaking in China Lecture
What: Dr. Patrick E. McGovern, the Scientific Director of the Biomolecular Archaeology Project for Cuisine, Fermented Beverages, and Health, makes a rare appearance to speak about the most ancient alcoholic beverage in the world, recovered from a Neolithic tomb site in Jiahu, China, dating to 7000 B.C. Guests will also have the opportunity to taste the limited edition Dogfish Head brewery’s Chateau Jiahu beer, brewed under McGovern’s supervision.
