Need a Hand in the Kitchen?

Sometimes you just need a little extra help in the kitchen to get things done properly.
Admit it: cooking can be a drag. Sometimes you need a little extra incentive, some encouragement to get yourself to go into the kitchen and come up with something other than cold cereal or frozen pizza for dinner. On those days (or weeks), here’s what to do: remind yourself of who’s #1. Grab the potholder that protects your hands and gives you a pep talk at the same time.
Gamago has come up with a neoprene potholder that will put you in the mood to whip up a storm in the kitchen. It’s bright yellow, with a bold black “#1” printed on it – and, as if that’s not enough, the outline of pointing finger, sports fan style. You could wear it straight from the kitchen to a Blazers game (though a Timbers game might help you stay in a better mood these days).
Neoprene will withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees F. (It’s also machine washable, should you get it stained with ketchup or relish at the ballgame.)
The yellow and black mitt would look especially sharp with one of those classic chalk-striped black and white bib aprons that the fancy chef’s wear. And maybe add a chef’s toque if you’re really needing a pick me up. (I’d lose the apron and hat before you head out the door for the game, but hey, maybe that’s just me.)
Gamago has other clever kitchen items available on its web storefront; they definitely don’t take cooking too seriously. Check out the guitar-shaped “shredder” cheese grater, laughing Buddha butter dish, and Vampire Tooth Bottle Opener.
