Saturday: Check out the official opening party to kick off a week of connection and inspiration. Take in installations from a range of designers and agencies in town at the Jupiter Next.

Sunday: Kick off the festival on Sunday with two walking tours: Portland Bridges and Gentrification By Design, South Portland. Get some fresh air on a hike through the restored Sandy River Delta to discuss using design as a means to greater ecological awareness at Restorative Design: The Confluence Bird Blind by Maya Lin. To get a peek at an initiative helping address Portland’s housing crisis, attend the Kenton Women's Village 2.0 Open House, which follows the construction of 21 new pods in the transitional housing community.

Monday: Participate in the discussion about Portland's current housing building boom at Design for Affordability, Resiliency, + Sustainability. In the evening, enjoy a series of lightning talks about the role of designers as creative agents for change at Creative Design Solutions for Community, Infrastructure, and Environment: An Evening with Michael Singer and Friends.

Tuesday: Hear from a panel at Placemaking for a Circular Economy and learn about live/work/play/shop ecosystems. Or join Lease Crutcher Lewis at Walk on the Wild Side: The Final Three Oregon Zoo Bond Projects for insights into the design and construction of the Polar Passage, Primate Forest, and Rhino Habitat.

Wednesday: Join the University of Oregon's Institute for Health in the Built Environment for a talk and tour, Design the Unseen. In the evening, a moderated panel discussion, What’s the Future of O’Bryant Square?, will take a hard look at the current successes and deficits of downtown's public squares, and invite the audience to offer their hopes for what Portland's next great public square can be.

Thursday: Choose between a few panels, including Technology and Livability: Designing Cities for the Future, She Built This City: The Women of PDX Design & Architecture, and Energy Trust Net Zero Emerging Leaders.

Friday: Get a peek at both the past and future of Portland's architecture with two walking tours. Mid-Century Modern and Minimalism in Portland provides a discussion about architecture, design, urban growth, and history, while Skylab’s B76 Guided Tour gives you a look at the construction of a building that will act as an anchor for the Burnside Bridge and a gateway to the Eastside community.

Saturday: Finish out the week with your choice of Designing Death, River View Cemetery, a walking tour, or with a visit to an in-progress ADU in North Portland for a talk, workshop, and tour at Building an ADU from Idea to Occupancy.
