Bank of America Presents Portland Monthly’s 15th Annual Light a Fire Awards

In Portland and beyond, there are outstanding citizens who consistently go the extra mile to better the places we call home. Change isn’t easy, but they commit considerable time and attention to noble endeavors, such as ensuring people are fed or advocating equal access to education, without asking for anything in return.
Bank of America understands the importance of philanthropy in our community and gave out more than $2.3 million to local nonprofits last year. With their help, Portland Monthly’s 15th annual Light a Fire Awards will honor the generosity, dedication and inspiration of these neighborhood leaders.

“Bank of America is proud to be part of the Oregon and SW Washington community, where exceptional work is being done in by individuals and nonprofits alike,” said Roger Hinshaw, Bank of America’s local Market President. “We believe their work, dedication and impact is worth celebrating, which is why we’re honored to support Light a Fire for the ninth year in a row. We know that everyone has the power to make a difference.”
Guests can join the celebration at 6 p.m. on November 21, 2019, at the Oregon Convention Center, for a night of commending the state’s vital nonprofits, volunteers and social issues, while also enjoying delicious food and drink.
