Portland Audubon’s Wild Arts Festival Kicks Off the Holidays Nov. 23 & 24

The Northwest's premier show and sale of nature-related art and books, benefiting Portland Audubon, is the perfect place to kick-start your holiday shopping on Nov. 23 and 24.
Fresh location in the heart of the Pearl
New for 2019, the popular festival has moved to Pure Space in Portland’s vibrant Pearl District for the festival’s 39th year. Stroll through this light-filled space and find the perfect gift or something to delight yourself, with proceeds benefiting Portland Audubon’s education and conservation efforts.

Presented by Backyard Bird Shop, the Wild Arts Festival boasts 61 artists including jewelry designers, painters, printmakers and sculptors, plus glass, wood, fiber art and ceramic artists. Although their media differ greatly, they all celebrate the natural world by featuring:
- Nature or wildlife as a subject,
- Natural materials as medium, or
- Art promoting environmental sustainability
Grab the opportunity to meet and chat with 13 impressive Northwest authors scheduled to autograph books from Noon to 4 p.m. each day. You’ll find some of the best local and regional authors specializing in nature, birds, hiking, history, books for kids, and books that illuminate living in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

New! Tiny Birdhouse art project
One of the festival highlights will be a new community art project. Expect up to 200 local artists to join the Tiny Birdhouse Project, transforming small, decorative wooden birdhouses into imaginative works of art. These little originals can be displayed on a bookshelf, tabletop or fence post, or tucked into a garden pot.
Artists have donated their work and each one sells at a fixed low price. Discovering a one-of-a-kind treasure at such a bargain means Festival attendees will line up early to get first dibs on this exhibit!
Silent Auction
Here you’ll find beautiful framed pictures, jewelry and outdoor gear, plus gift certificates for vacation lodging, exotic trips and restaurants. Get a bidder number, make your bid, and cross your fingers – you might win, you might get a bargain! If you’re looking for a perfect holiday gift, you may find it here.
