Learners are challenged at the edge of their abilities and supported individually to achieve academically, contribute to the community, and discover areas of personal interest and active leadership. Critical and creative thinking, collaboration, and craftsmanship are hallmarks of our work.
Renaissance operates with an extended day within a longer year, from the beginning of September until mid-July. Children work in groups at an average of 12 children per teacher, allowing for individualized growth and progress. Core academic groups are flexible, shifting with a child’s strengths and challenges rather than rooted by age. Different dynamics through the day allow for ongoing, intrinsically built motivation and connection, and true knowledge of each child.
