Where Curiosity Leads, Learning Follows

At The Marylhurst School, students become curious thinkers, confident communicators, creative problem-solvers, and compassionate community members.

Presented by The Marylhurst School August 18, 2026

Serving preschool through 8th grade, our independent school combines meaningful relationships, hands-on learning, and academic challenge to help every child discover what they are capable of.

Early Learning (Ages 3–5)

Through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships, our youngest learners build the skills that form the foundation for lifelong learning. As they investigate the world around them, children develop early literacy and numeracy while learning to approach new experiences with curiosity and joy.

Primary School (Kindergarten–5th Grade)

Students in our multi-age classrooms learn to think critically and make meaningful connections across disciplines. Through hands-on, integrated learning experiences, they strengthen core academic skills while developing resilience and the confidence to tackle increasingly complex challenges.

Middle School (6th–8th Grade)

Middle school students are challenged to think deeply and take ownership of their learning. Through inquiry-based projects, mentorship, and authentic learning experiences, students develop the independence, communication, and leadership skills that prepare them for high school and beyond.

At every stage, Marylhurst students are known well, challenged appropriately, and encouraged to discover who they are, what they can do, and how they can make a meaningful difference in the world.
