I’m coming down from my New York Fashion Week high. No more shows to watch via live stream, no more constant Facebook updates, not even a little Tweet. I was almost on the verge of getting melancholy. Thank goodness I just got an invitation to Nordstrom’s annual Designer Preview Fashion Show on March 3rd. This is pretty much the only time Portlanders get a chance to see top designer lines and they are bringing in some good ones! The runway will feature looks from Balenciaga, Burberry Prorsum, CHANEL, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Lanvin, Marc Jaocbs, Stella McCartney and Oscar de la Renta. (I think my heart just stopped for a minute)

The privilege of fashion doesn’t always come easy. The tickets are an investment at $500 per person for a Runway level ticket, which includes reserved runway seating, complimentary valet parking, a cocktail and hors d’ oeuvres reception, dessert and a Designer Preview gift. A $350 per person Connoisseur level ticket includes complimentary valet parking, a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception, dessert and a Designer Preview gift. And $125 per person Supporter level ticket includes festival seating, dessert reception and a Designer Preview gift. But, all ticket sales from the evening’s event will benefit the OHSU Center for Women’s Health, with a large portion of your purchase tax deductible.

And who can put a price on fashion happiness? Splurge a little.
