After long time designer John Galliano was fired from Dior last spring (after some very icky things happened), the entire fashion community wondered if the beloved fashion house would survive. Thanks to a peek we got at the spring haute couture collection) courtesy of Shop Talk friend and photographer Ed Kavishe of Fashion Wire Press) we know it’s not only surviving, it’s thriving.

The line wisely went back to its roots sporting silhouettes and details from a different time. The result was simultaneously modern while maintaining its ties to all things 40’s and 50s. To sum it up, it was Dior.
