Portland Bride & Groom Editorial

Get a peek at a mind blowing bridal spread.

One of the aspects I love most about my career is styling editorials. It’s essentially getting to play the best game of dress-up of all time (with amazing clothes and jewelry). Which is why I happily accepted the job to style Portland Bride & Groom magazine’s current editorial.

Shot over three days on a magical farm outside of Seattle where pristine white goats wandered about and geese lazily drifted in a pond, it felt unreal. I mean, grapes grew from overhead so you could just reach above to pluck a handful. Oh, but did I mention the torrential downpour of rain that pelted us every second we stood outside while trying to protect and cover the $10,000 gowns?

We collaborated with highly esteemed (and utterly adorable) photographer Elizabeth Messina, who has shot more magazine covers and celebrity weddings (ala Jason Bateman, Tori Spelling and Brooke Shields) than seems humanly possible in a lifetime. Ultimately, we turned that rain into an enchanted and romantic spread and after the farm owners pried me away from blueberry garden while I screamed "I don’t want to go!" I finally headed back to Portland.

View a tantalizing amount of the piece in the slideshow, but for the full spread and dress information you’ll need to snag yourself a copy.
