DIY a Découpage Floral Bag

Get a cool custom bag for pennies on the dollar by making it yourself.

Not only are we big believers around here in knowing when to splurge and when to save, we also cherish the chance to get a fashionable piece that’s truly one-of-a-kind. And not in the personalized license plate kind of way, but in the “only one person in the world has this bag and it’s me” kind of way.

Getting something custom made can be spendy and is surely less fun that a craft party with your other stylish friends. Gussy up that bag you have in the corner of your closet with a handful of supplies into the perfect summer floral carryall, perfect for making frenemies at the next summer barbeque. We endorse the genius directions from fellow bloggers at the Honestly…WTF blog who list out the instructions step-by-step.

To get started you’ll need:
a handbag
cotton fabric with a large floral pattern
painter’s tape
Mod Podge
craft paint
2 small plastic dishes
2 brushes
