Yoko Ono's Clothing Line
Yoko Ono celebrates her 80th birthday next month and one could argue she’s lived several lifetimes in those eight decades. Her newest endeavor is an, er, interesting collaboration with Opening Ceremony designing a menswear line based on a series of sketches she did in 1969 as her wedding present to John Lennon.
Ono says, “I was inspired to create 'Fashion for Men,' [because I was] amazed at how my man was looking so great. I felt it was a pity if we could not make clothes emphasizing his very sexy bod.”
While we’re a sucker for a great love story, it’s hard to see this line showing up on Portland gentlemen. Particularly because $335 for pants with a hand on the crotch seems a touch steep for the Northwest market.
