The bright, outermost star in the handle of the Little Dipper is called Polaris. The star is part of an impressive constellation but manages to demand its own bit of attention as well, making it an apt namesake for Polaris Jewelry. The small line, founded by Portland native Kaliska Sweetwater, focuses on simple geometric shapes welded together from recycled gold and silver bits.
