It’s been three months since the last edition of Fashion in Film at the Hollywood Theatre, so you know what that means. It’s time to gently push another 1990s film your way! (Full discloser reminder: I curate the series alongside fashion friend Marjorie Skinner.) This time we’re mixing up our traditional grunge and/or Madonna vibes with 1997’s sci-fi fest The Fifth Element.

But, before we can watch Milla Jovovich’s captivating eyes, Bruce Willis’s bad bleach job, and Jean Paul Gaultier's futuristic costumes, viewers get a special bonus. Jason Calderon, designer of West Daily, created character-inspired ensembles and will debut them before the movie in a live fashion show. See the capsule collection, drink a special-edition rose sour beer by Coalition Brewing, and observe the fight for Earth’s survival for a measly $9.
