New York and its swank style citizens have their annual Met Gala—a chance to meet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in full finery and feel fancy. We admittedly can’t claim that level of luxury, but in our own, more chilled-out version, we do have the Portland Fashion & Style Awards. 

Now in its fifth year, the show (run by Venus Salon and Spa owner Ann Akre) once again takes over the Portland Art Museum with an evening of hat tips, cocktails, and jokes from beloved host Poison Waters. Portland Monthly is once again up for Best Fashion Publication, and there's a slew of other awards, such as Best Dressed Male Television Personality, Best Accessory Designer, and Best Makeup Artist. 

Come see Poison crack inappropriate jokes while admiring some fancy outfits on Sunday, November 6 at 6 p.m.
