There are many magical duos in life: wine and chocolate, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, red lips and winged eyeliner. We’ve got another one for the list.

Newbie lingerie designer Alyssa Woods broke onto the local design scene as Vava Lingerie last year with killer photo shoots featuring models of all body types in soft lacy bralettes and hip-hugging velvet panties. Simultaneously, jewelry designer Amy Lee Fox, co-owner of Hawthorne boutique Altar, pushed her Iron Oxide line of intricate chain patterns and rough-hewn crystals into more editorial pieces.

This year, the duo debuted their first collaboration to audience cheers at February’s Unmentionable lingerie show and have now built upon that collection with their first dual lookbook of Vava Lingerie and Iron Oxide designs. The dark, romantic photos sum up the aesthetic of the two—a juxtaposition of hard and soft, details for days, and, of course, super sexy.
