This weekend only, the beautiful East Rim Drive circling Crater Lake will be open exclusively to non-motorized traffic.

That means that hikers and bikers can enjoy stunning views of the US's deepest lake with no vehicle traffic.

“The early snowmelt at Crater Lake gives us a window to create a nationally unique opportunity to walk, run or ride a bike around the lake and, essentially, have it all to yourself,” says Crater Lake National Park Superintendent Craig Ackerman.

The weekend comes courtesy of joint agreement between Travel Oregon, Cycle Oregon, and the Crater Lake National Park.
