Every Thursday night this summer, the Oregon Garden in Silverton hosts an outdoor film showing, as part of their Movies in the Garden series. This month make the trip to see four classic fan favorites: Pulp Fiction, The Wizard of Oz, Grease, and The Princess Bride

Blankets and chairs are encouraged, as well as a sweater to keep warm after the sun sets. Those with chairs, however, are asked to sit in the back. (Don’t be that guy.) And as long as they’re well-behaved and on a leash, go ahead and bring a pet.

The Oregon Garden is located at 879 W. Main Street in Silverton. Visit oregongarden.org for additional information.

Pulp Fiction, R, August 14

An iconic ‘90s Quentin Tarantino film mashes up dark humor and violence as it tells the tale of a group of Los Angeles criminals ruthlessly fighting over a mysterious brief case. (This film will be restricted to viewers 18 and older. Because Tarantino.)

The Wizard of Oz, PG, August 21

After a tornado hits her home in Kansas, Dorothy is sent hurling into an imaginary world of fantasy, adventure, and singing animals, but all she wants is to go back home.

Grease, PG-13, August 28

Set in the 1950s, this coming-of-age, romantic comedy tells the love story of two teenagers through singing and dancing, proving that opposites really do attract.

The Princess Bride, PG, August 28

This 1987 cult classic, narrated by a kindhearted grandfather, has everything you want in an offbeat fairytale: sword fights, giants, villains, and of course, a damsel in distress.
