Behold Sunriver Resort's $50 Million Facelift

Central Oregon's Sunriver Resort is getting a fresh coat of paint... and then some.
First built in 1968 on the site of an old WWII training camp, Sunriver Resort is one of the state's oldest and most cherished getaways. Over the next five years, the resort plans to slowly renovate many of the buildings and facilities on its 3,300 acre property to the tune of $50 million.
This May, the first of those updates will be unveiled, with a revamped restaurant and bar, and a completely new pool area, dubbed The Cove.
According to a press release, the transformations will include:
- A renovated restaurant, called Carson’s American Kitchen.
- A new live music venue called Twisted River Tavern.
- A new lobby bar, called the Living Room.
- The Cove, which will have a pool, hot tub, cabans, waterslide, and outdoor bar for refreshments and food.
