On October 15, McMenamins unveiled its newest property to the public in Bothell, Washington. At 5 acres, the Anderson School is now McMenamins' largest Washington property. (In Oregon, Troutdale's Edgefield sprawls over 74 acres.)

Using the tried-and-true McMenamins’ formula of transforming historic buildings into fun destinations, the renovated 72-room, "art-deco style" hotel turned the former Bothell Junior High's classrooms, courtyards, and gymnasium into awesome new amenities, including:

  • 3 restaurants
  • 2 small bars
  • A brewery
  • A movie theater
  • Gardens
  • Indoor salt water swimming pool

Check it all out in the slideshow above. And for the details on the best way to experience the massive complex as an out-of-towner, head over to our sister magazine's coverage in Seattle here
