Best Oregon Wines 2016: Call for Submissions

Greetings, Oregon winemakers!
This October, our annual wine issue returns to newsstands—but before our panel of judges can commence the blind tasting of this year’s contenders, we need your help. We are now accepting submissions of your best wines, and June 3 is our deadline to receive your bottles for tasting.
As always, we will be looking for the best of Oregon pinot noir, but we are also excited to highlight the many other varietals making a splash in Oregon.
To participate, please follow the guidelines below:
- No more than 6 wines total from any one winery (please send two bottles of each in case of cork taint).
- No more than 4 pinot noirs. Whites, rosés, bubbly, and non-pinot reds heartily welcomed.
- Each bottle submitted should be available for sale in October.
Please send submissions to:
Portland Monthly c/o
Rose City Self Storage and Wine Vaults
111 SE Belmont St
Portland, OR 97214
Hand deliveries to Rose City can be made Mon–Sat, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Make sure boxes are labeled Attn: Portland Monthly.
To help us ensure the widest possible sample of wines for our 2016 issue, please send a confirmation e-mail to wine editor/coordinator Allison Jones at [email protected] to let us know you’ve received this call for submissions and whether you’ll be submitting wines. We don’t want you to be left out! (She’ll also be happy to answer any further questions.)
Many thanks and good luck!
