Eat, Drink, and Be Judgy: A Red Carpet Viewing Extravaganza

Join Portland Monthly on Sunday, January 11 at Rontoms for a free viewing party of the Golden Globes—Hollywood's most outrageous awards show.

By Eden Dawn December 16, 2014

Prepare a tribute to the late-great Joan Rivers and find yourself something fancy to wear, because Portland Monthly is hosting our second annual red carpet viewing party for the Golden Globes—a.k.a. the best Hollywood awards show of the year—and you won’t want to miss it.

Head to Rontoms on Sunday, January 11, promptly at 3 pm, for red carpet commentary with style editor Eden Dawn and her team of snarky (and informed) guest judges including: The dynamic duo behind Portland Garment Factory's productiona and chic HouseLine Britt Howard and Rosemary Robinson, Expert hair and makeup artist Kelly Peach (with credits that include Cosmopolitan, Esquire, and GQ), plus Northern Ireland's tomboy spitfire and cofounder of Wildfang, Emma McIlroy

Kick back on Rontom’s cozy couches in front of a massive projector screen, drink special $5 mimosas like Hollywood royalty, and soak in the judges' commentary on good and bad (but mostly bad) fashion decisions throughout the pre-show and full viewing of the 72nd Annual Golden Globes.  Expect commercial-break shenangians, random prizes for attendees, and the most fun a Sunday afternoon could bring.

Because we love a good red carpet, we aim to entertain our guests. The first twenty folks to arrive receive VIP gift bags, plus chances to win prizes throughout the red carpet segment. Finally, should you be able to accurately predict the whole lot of awards we have a BIG prize for you (hint: it's spa and relaxation related).
