Raven & Rose's First Brewer's Social
What: Charlie Devereux from Double Mountain Brewery and John Plutshack from Logsdon Organic Farmhouse Ales will descend on Raven & Rose to share their unique beers at the restaurant's first Brewer's Social. Tastings will be paired with a variety of cheeses from Steve Jones of Cheese Bar.
When: Thursday, February 28th from 5 to 7 pm
Where: The Rookery Bar at Raven & Rose 1331 SW Broadway
How Much: Free tastings of beer and cheese, additional pints, flights, and cheese boards will be available for purchase.
Zakuski Party at Wildwood
What: To celebrate the launch of their new housemade charcuterie board and all-local vodka list (no more imports, no national brands, only craft vodkas from Oregon and Washington) Wildwood is hosting a Russian style zakuski party. Zakuski are traditional Russian small plates—think salty meats and sausage, smokey or brined fish, and pickles, always accompanied by vodka. Local distillers will be on hand to chat about their spirits (including Lee Medoff of Bull Run, Mike Sherwood of Sub Rosa, Tom Burkleaux of New Deal, and Ryan Hembree of Skip Rock).
When: Saturday, March 2nd from 4 to 7 pm

Bar Avignon's Fort George Brewery Pairing Dinner
What: Astoria, Oregon's beloved brewery will crash into Portland for a five-course dinner with chef Eric Joppie. Dishes will include shredded chicken in guajillo chile broth, slow roasted BBQ pork shoulder, and a dark chocolate mud pie with burnt caramel sabayon and lacquered bacon bits for dessert. Beer geek bonus: Fort George will unveil a new addition to their canned beer series at the BA dinner.
When: Sunday, March 3rd at 6 pm

13th Annual Farmer-Chef Connection
What: A day of workshops and TEDx-style talks focusing on seasonal foods, regional connections, and community building through local culinary partnerships. Workshops include "Telling Your Story," a primer on using traditional and social media to spread a culinary message (with Jason French of Ned Ludd) and "Creative and Collaborative Models" exploring restaurant CSAs and pop-ups with Ben Meyer of Grain & Gristle and Old Salt complex, Sara Cogan of Zenger Farm, Kathryn Yeomans of The Farmers Feast, Mark Doxtader of Tastebud, and Annie Moss of Tabor Breads. Talks will be given by thought leaders like Leslie Recio of Viridian Farms and Karen Brooks, author of The Mighty Gastropolis. Full line-up here.

Alchemy Wine Pairing Dinner at Tabor Tavern
What: Tabor Tavern's first winery dinner will feature Alchemy Wine Productions, a small production urban winery located in southeast Portland. The five-course meal will include bay scallop ceviche with blood orange and serrano chiles, grilled rabbit sausage with crispy leeks, and duck confit with black pepper cherry sauce.
When: Wednesday, March 6th at 7 pm

Penner Ash Tapas and Tango Night
What: A night of food, wine, dance, and music featuring tapas-style nosh from Toro Bravo's John Gorham, dance guidance from tango instructor Alex Krebs, Argentine music from the Alex Krebs Tango Quartet, and plenty of Penner-Ash wines.
When: Friday, March 8th from 6:30 to 9:30 pm

Metrovino’s 1980s Dinner with The Eyrie Vineyards

Oregon Distillers Guild 3rd Annual TOAST Craft Spirits Festival
What: The largest craft spirits tasting in North America returns to Portland, with over 150 local and international spirits from over fifty distillers. This year's event will feature a Food Cart Court, spotlighting some of Portland's favorite mobile kitchens.
When: Friday, March 22nd from 5 to 10 pm and Saturday, March 23rd from 1 pm to 10 pm.
Where: The World Trade Center, sky bridge level, 121 SW Salmon St
